Installation on Windows NT/2000

Download aGNeS

Download aGNeS for Windows NT/2000. Navigate to http://agnes.vestris.com/download/WinNT/ and download agnes.4.2.WindowsNT-ix86.zip. You are also free to choose a current aGNeS beta version which always have the latest improvements from the live source tree. Windows NT for Dec Alpha is not supported, you must have an x86-based configuration.

Install and Test Binary

Use WinZip, pkunzip or any other compressor program to unzip agnes.4.2.WindowsNT-ix86.zip into any directory. Several files will be extracted in the aGNeS.4.2 directory, among them the aGNeS executable, agnes.exe .

Upload the agnes.exe file into your cgi-bin directory. If you do not have a cgi-bin directory, please refer to your web server documentation about how to create one. Make your cgi-bin directory writable by IUSR_COMPUTERNAME (where COMPUTERNAME is replaced by your machine's name) if default permissions were modified prior to this installation.

Navigate to your cgi-bin directory using a browser. For example, http://www.server.com/cgi-bin/agnes . Follow the instructions from the the section called First-time Configuration .
