Templates Cache

aGNeS is capable of hosting thousands of bbs systems remotely with template pages all around the world. To minimize network traffic, the template pages are cached on the aGNeS server. If you own a bbs, and you change your template pages, the changes are not immediately reflected on your bbs. This is due to caching.

To make the changes visible, you must update the cache. This can be done from the online management for your bbs, by clicking on the update cache button. The administrative section is described in the section called aGNeS Administration .

To update individual pages, you can navigate to the bbs url and append +nocache to it. To update the header.html page, you must navigate to the articles list, to update the article.html page, you must navigate to an article, etc. For example, if your bbs is at http://www.foo.com/cgi-bin/bar/agnes?FooAgnes+FooAgnesHTML , the url to update the header.html page is http://www.foo.com/cgi-bin/bar/agnes?FooAgnes+FooAgnesHTML+nocache .
