Creating Archives

To create an aGNeS archive, you must navagate to your board with the +archive argument in the url. For example, if your bbs is at http://www.foo.com/cgi-bin/bar/agnes?FooAgnes+FooAgnesHTML , the url to delete articles is http://www.foo.com/cgi-bin/bar/agnes?FooAgnes+FooAgnesHTML+archive .

Your board with all articles will appear. You will be required to enter your administrative password and to select the last article you want to archive. You must also enter a name for the archive, this can contain spaces and some of the special characters. Because aGNeS keeps a unique number for all articles, you cannot select the last article posted, which would restart counting at zero.

aGNeS will automatically create archives if your board reaches an article count of 300. This avoids having boards that take a long time to load. Ideally, keep your bbs under a couple hundred articles and archive often. This will make the user experience much better.

If you have setup aGNeS on your server, you can supply the global administrative password to archive articles in any bbs.
